New Program Promises Drug-Free ADHD Solution

As many as 7% of all American kids have ADHD. It’s a disorder that affects learning, social skills, even a child’s happiness.

Now that there are questions surrounding the long term effects of drugs like Ritalin, many parents are desperate for an alternative.

Christine Robinson of Boxboro believes she found that alternative for her son, Matthew.

The 8-year-old second grader was diagnosed last year with ADHD. “Things were harder for him,” says Christine. “He absolutely struggled.”

But now she says that’s all changed. “He has a lot more friends, he just seems a lot happier.”

Matthew is enrolled in the Dore Achievement Center in Needham. It's a cutting edge program that offers parents an alternative to drugs like Ritalin. Instead of taking a pill, Matthew does a series of balance and eye exercises to improve his focus and learning.

“His attention has improved dramatically,” says Christine.

Naturopath pleads guilty

Trial ends soon after prosecutors uncover new evidence he lied
The trial of a Wheat Ridge naturopathic practitioner ended abruptly Wednesday when he pleaded guilty after prosecutors uncovered new evidence that he had lied about his background under oath.

Brian O'Connell, 37, faced numerous counts of practicing medicine without a license, theft and manslaughter in the death of a terminally ill 19-year-old cancer patient.

He pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide, practicing medicine without a license, theft, assault and perjury. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced March 27. The judge could also consider probation.

N.Y. Police Sue N.Y Police Over Surveillance At Demonstrations

The demonstrators arrived angry, departed furious. The police had herded them into pens. Stopped them from handing out fliers. Threatened them with arrest for standing on public sidewalks. Made notes on which politicians they cheered and which ones they razzed.

Meanwhile, officers from a special unit videotaped their faces, evoking for one demonstrator the unblinking eye of George Orwell's "1984."

"That's Big Brother watching you," the demonstrator, Walter Liddy, said in a deposition.

Liddy's complaint about police tactics, while hardly novel from a big-city protester, stands out because of his job: He is a New York City police officer. The rallies he attended were organized in the summer of 2004 by his union, the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, to protest the pace of contract talks with the city.

Now the officers, through their union, are suing the city, charging that the police procedures at their demonstrations - many of them routinely used at war protests, antipoverty marches and mass bike rides - were so heavy-handed and intimidating that their First Amendment rights were violated.

A draft would be the single fastest way to pull the plug on the war machine...so "Bring It On!"

Bush would be stupid enough to try it, but his trainers know better and they're the ones calling the shots. The latest batch of imperial wars has been achievable to a large extent because of the U.S. populace's encouraged habit of treating Other People (i.e. those outside of the U.S.), and the murder imposed upon them, as abstractions. If coerced into carrying out those wars personally, it would no longer be an abstraction and suddenly a lot of the "My Country Right or Wrong" crowd would become "My Country As Long as You Don't Force Me to Go There."

So as much as I'd love to see them attempt a draft, it ain't gonna happen.

A failure of purpose

Jeevan Vasagar asks whether well-meaning western aid agencies are what Africa really needs

Excerpts:
It was kind of the foreigners to dig the borehole, but the Sudanese villagers were a little bemused by it.

They had been drinking water from the river since time began, and they would keep on doing it.

As one of the elders explained to me, the river water might be murky but it had a nice flavour, while this transparent stuff from the borehole just tasted of nothing.
In that village, a timeless landscape of mud huts standing amid thickets of long grass, it seemed that aid was an addiction.
In the meantime, average income per head has failed to grow and the continent's already marginal share of world trade has shrunk even further.

Airman's Shooting Sparks FBI Inquiry

Responding to a dramatic videotape of a police shooting, federal officials opened an investigation Tuesday into the conduct of a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy who opened fire on a man who appeared to be following the deputy's order to get off the ground.

A grainy videotape of the shooting in Chino was broadcast repeatedly on television Tuesday. The quality of the tape is poor, and it is difficult to clearly hear all the exchanges between the deputy and 21-year-old Elio Carrion during the seconds before the shooting.

At one point, a voice on the tape appears to say "Stay on the ground." A moment later, however, the deputy appears to tell Carrion: "Get up, get up."

"I'm going to get up," Carrion replied as he began to rise from a crouch. As he did so, the deputy, who was standing a few feet away, fired multiple rounds.

Carrion, a U.S. Air Force security officer who had recently returned from duty in Iraq, was hit in the chest, shoulder and leg. He was listed in good condition Tuesday at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.

San Bernardino County sheriff's officials have refused to release the deputy's name.

How I stalked my girlfriend

For the past week I've been tracking my girlfriend through her mobile phone. I can see exactly where she is, at any time of day or night, within 150 yards, as long as her phone is on. It has been very interesting to find out about her day. Now I'm going to tell you how I did it.

Excerpt:
I unplugged her phone and took it upstairs to register it on a website I had been told about. It looks as if the service is mainly for tracking stock and staff movements: the Guardian, rather sensibly, doesn't want me to tell you any more than that. I ticked the website's terms and conditions without reading them, put in my debit card details, and bought 25 GSM Credits for £5 plus vat.

Almost immediately, my girlfriend's phone vibrated with a new text message. "Ben Goldacre has requested to add you to their Buddy List! To accept, simply reply to this message with 'LOCATE'". I sent the requested reply. The phone vibrated again. A second text arrived: "WARNING: [this service] allows other people to know where you are. For your own safety make sure that you know who is locating you." I deleted both these text messages.

On the website, I see the familiar number in my list of "GSM devices" and I click "locate". A map appears of the area in which we live, with a person-shaped blob in the middle, roughly 100 yards from our home. The phone doesn't go off at all. There is no trace of what I'm doing on her phone. I can't quite believe my eyes: I knew that the police could do this, and telecommunications companies, but not any old random person with five minutes access to someone else's phone. I can't find anything in her mobile that could possibly let her know that I'm checking her location. As devious systems go, it's foolproof. I set up the website to track her at regular intervals, take a snapshot of her whereabouts automatically, every half hour, and plot her path on the map, so that I can view it at my leisure. It felt, I have to say, exceedingly wrong.

Christ to feature on Malta's euro coins

Malta has chosen the figure of Christ for its euro coins, officials announced, after a vote which reflected the overwhelmingly Roman Catholic island's strong Christian heritage.

The voters in a telephone poll to decide the design chose "The Baptism of Christ," a scupture by late baroque artist Giuseppe Mazzuoli which stands in the capital's St John's Cathedral.

What happened to:

Exodus 20:4-6 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Beware the "Doctor"

The title could also read "beware, the medical/pharma. conspiracy, because, it is.....my brothers and sisters, this more than all is the most diabolical, and evil of all the injustices. I would imagine all of you, at one time or another, has lost someone you loved and felt like it could have been different, well, your probably right.

Once upon a time doctors had green houses next to their clinics and enlightened their patients to the ideals of how better to care for their own health and wellness, today, everything is a disease, and by law, only a drug can cure it, when in reality, if we examine most drugs and their ingredients, you find the "herb" as being the common factor. In most cases, unnessesary sugeries, misdiagnosed illnesses(because they do not understand illness)resulting in what amounts to the reason for most deaths in this nation, not A.I.D.S., not cancer and not heart disease, the #1 cause is complications arrising from surgery, #2 drug complications, #3 misdiagnosed illness, and the perscriptions that follow, all 3 from them, a university in Washington state did the research, btw, death from herbs and suppliments finished 32nd just above lightning strikes!

To their credit, if I break a bone, accident, ect. western medicine is second to none(minus the drugs durring recovery)outside of that, forget it, their insustry still follows the failed doctrination of a french chemist named Louis Pasteur, who admited near the end of his life that his work was incomplete, his partner Antoine Bechamp(1816-1908)understood the body as being a host for illnesses, his study of pleomorphism, if had been given a chance would have revolutionized medicine with its profound insight into the nature of life, thus providing cures for many sicknesses and diseases that science is still seeking today. BUT YOU GUESSED IT, NO PROFIT FROM MOTHER NATURE. YOU CANNOT PATENT AN HERB OR THINGS THAT OCCUR IN NATURE.

You need not go any further than the CODEX ALIMENTARIS issue to see that your best interest is not on the minds of these people. Imagine government regulating suppliments the way they regulate alcohol, drugs, believe me drugs are regulated, tobacco, in britain, you want vit-c, sure it will only cost you 40-50 "dollars" and the potency is a joke!

I write all of this knowing full and well that suppliment and those in the area of complimentary medicine can be scam artist as well, but people use your heads, when the Gerson clinic in Mexico based on the life work of Max Gerson, boasts a 98% sucsess rate in stoping cancer using a natural approach and these people are still using what amounts to left over waste from the korean war(chemo-radiation treatment) I mean, excuse me, who thinks up this stuff!! They are in the SICK care business, not health care, get that straight first, suck 'em of their insurance money, then leave 'em twisting in the wind.

solution: get the pharma. companies out of the business of controlling the decisions of hosptals and doctors with their vast amount of money, it's rather like a lobbiest in Wash. D.C.(sin city) and let complimentary medicine and science work hand-in-hand. ex. in europe after surgery, systemic enzymes are used to control scar tissue build up and M.S.M. for inflamation, inexpencive and effective and prevents follow up surgeries(money saved).

But as it stands in the Republic, guess what, the same money and power that controls Washington, contributes money to the universities, that trains(indoctrinates) these doctors and contributes to hospitals, also controls the big pharma. companies, so where does this leave us....you guessed it, twisting in the wind, some would say popuation control, I put nothing past these people, not the doctors, but those who control.

UN unveils plan to release untapped wealth of...$7 trillion (and solve the world's problems at a stroke)

UN unveils plan to release untapped wealth of...$7 trillion (and solve the world's problems at a stroke)

The most potent threats to life on earth - global warming, health pandemics, poverty and armed conflict - could be ended by moves that would unlock $7 trillion - $7,000,000,000,000 (£3.9trn) - of previously untapped wealth, the United Nations claims today.

The price? An admission that the nation-state is an old-fashioned concept that has no role to play in a modern globalised world where financial markets have to be harnessed rather than simply condemned.

In a groundbreaking move, the UN Development Programme (UNDP) has drawn up a visionary proposal that has been endorsed by a range of figures including Gordon Brown, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Joseph Stiglitz, the Nobel Laureate.

It says an unprecedented outbreak of co-operation between countries, applied through six specific financial tools, would slice through the Gordian knot of problems that have bedevilled the world for most of the last century.

If its recommendations are accepted - and the authors acknowledge this could take years or even decades - it could finally force countries to face up to the fact that their public finance and growth figures conceal the vast damage their economies do to the environment.

At the heart of the proposal, unveiled at a gathering of world business leaders at the Swiss ski resort of Davos, is a push to get countries to account for the cost of failed policies, and use the money saved "up front" to avert crises before they hit. Top of the list is a challenge to the United States to join an international pollution permit trading system which, the UN claims, could deliver $3.64trn of global wealth.

Inge Kaul, a special adviser at the UNDP, said: "The way we run our economies today is vastly expensive and inefficient because we don't manage risk well and we don't prevent crises." She downplayed concerns over up-front costs and interest payments for the new-fangled financial devices. "The gains in terms of development would outweigh those costs. Money is wasted because we dribble aid, and the costs of not solving the problems are much, much higher than what we would have to pay for getting the financial markets to lend the money."

The UNDP is determined to ensure globalisation, which has generated vast wealth for multinational companies, benefits the poorest in society.

It urges politicians to embrace some groundbreaking schemes put in place in the past 12 months to tackle global warning, poverty and disease, based on working with the global markets to share out the risk.

These include a pilot international finance facility (IFF) to "front load" $4bn of cash for vaccines by borrowing money against pledges of future government aid.

The scheme, which is backed by the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, was born out of a proposal by Gordon Brown for a larger scheme to double the total aid budget to $100bn a year.

In an endorsement of the report, Mr Brown said: "This shows how we can equip people and countries for a new global economy that combined greater prosperity and fairness both within and across nations."

The UNDP says rich countries should build on this and go further. It proposes six schemes to harness the power of the markets:

* Reducing greenhouse gas emissions through pollution permit trading; net gain $3.64trn.

* Cutting poor countries' borrowing costs by securing the debts against the income from stable parts of their economies; net gain $2.90trn.

* Reducing government debt costs by linking payments to the country's economic output; net gain $600bn.

* An enlarged version of the vaccine scheme; net gain (including benefits of lower mortality) $47bn.

* Using the vast flow of money from migrants back to their home country to guarantee; net gain $31bn.

* Aid agencies underwriting loans to market investors to lower interest rates; net gain $22bn.

Professor Stiglitz, the former chief economist of the World Bank and a staunch critic of the way globalisation harms the poor, said: "Globalisation has meant the closer integration of countries, and that in turn has meant a greater need for collective action.

"One of the most important areas of failure is the environment. Without government intervention, firms and households have no incentive to limit their pollution." He said a global public finance system would force countries to acknowledge the external damage their policies had, "the most important being global climate change".

Solving the environmental crisis tops the UN's $7trn wish-list. It calls for an international market to trade pollution permits that would encourage rich countries to cut pollution and hit their targets under the Kyoto protocol.

But - and the UN admits it is a big "but" - the US would have to sign up to Kyoto and carbon trading to achieve the $3.64trn that it believes the system would deliver over time.

"We are dealing with a global problem as pollution can only be dealt with internationally," Ms Kaul said. Richard Sandor, the head of the Chicago Climate Exchange, added: "Many encouraging signs are emerging. When the business case is clear, private entrepreneurs step forward."

But, the proposal is unlikely to get support from some green groups who believe that action to curb consumption, rather than market incentives, are the way to reduce carbon emissions.

Andrew Simms, director of the New Economics Foundation, said it left unanswered questions over how these markets would be managed and how the benefits and costs would be distributed. "We have nothing against markets so it would be missing the point to get into a pro- or anti-market stance. The point is how you distribute the benefits."

He said the Nineties, the zenith decade for globalisation, had seen just 60 cents out of every $100 worth of growth reach the poorest in society, compared with the $2.20 in the Eighties.

He said a pollution trading regime had the potential to deliver "enormous" benefits to poor countries, but said the UN report failed to show a detailed plan.

"Our view is that you have to cap pollution, allocate permits and then you can trade. But it depends on how it is set up. Because you are dealing with a global commons of the atmosphere, the danger is that you could be effectively dealing in stolen goods."

He said a system set up now to trade in pollution permits could end up permanently depriving poor countries that joined the system further down the road.

International problems - and solutions

PANDEMIC DISEASES

Millions of people across the developing world have died from malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/Aids, as well as from other pandemics. Vaccines needed to avert them require much-needed investment.

SOLUTION: An advance commitment by rich countries to buy $3bn (£1.7bn) worth of vaccines would be enough to encourage pharmaceutical giants to invest in finding medicines that would eliminate these pandemics.

SAVING: $600bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: Vaccines are needed but more should be done in the meantime. Extra aid is needed for simple tools such as mosquito nets that would curb spread of malaria.

PARIAH STATES

Big business and global money ignore countries where they see the risk of conflict outweighing their potential profit margins.

SOLUTION: Guarantees by international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund to lower the cost of borrowing for poor nations by underwriting investors' loans to conflict-torn states.

SAVING: $22bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: Sometimes large volumes of cash are needed and this is one. Live8 showed there was huge support among taxpayers for higher aid to countries in distress.

Hitting a commitment made in the 1960s of 0.7 per cent of GDP would unlock $140bn a year.

NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY

Once great nations such as Brazil and Argentina were reduced to the status of beggars after poor economic policy combined with debts with national and international lenders.

SOLUTION: A system to enable countries to take loans linked to their average economic growth rate to ensure that they do not have to cut public spending to raise the money to borrow needed funds during the hard times.

SAVING: $600bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: A system to allow countries to seek protection from their creditors in the same way that US companies can take so-called Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

SPECULATIVE INVESTORS

Poor countries suffer most from swings in investment tastes by the big global investors that means money can leave as soon as it arrives.

SOLUTION: Enable countries to buy "insurance policies" against big swings in growth that would ensure that they did not have to cut public spending every time. In 1997 it wreaked havoc across South-east Asia.

SAVING: $2,900bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: Curb speculative investment by imposing a tax on foreign exchange transactions aimed at destabilising a currency. It could directly raise funds for development while preventing the worst excesses of the markets.

GLOBAL WARMING

Scientists believe human activity has led to climate change and disappearing Arctic ice. The world's poor also have to live with lethal storms and floods.

UN SOLUTION: A system of international trading in permits to allow pollution that would encourage countries to cut their emission of greenhouse gases so they can sell their "right to pollute" to other states. UNDP says it is more effective than just setting targets.

SAVING: $3,620bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: An international approach is needed but one that prevents people from causing harm by setting pollution targets rather than trying to bribe them not to. Also agree global airline tax.

BRAIN DRAIN

Millions of skilled workers leave their home countries every year in search of a better life in the West. In some states nine out 10 professionals have left.

SOLUTION: Enable countries to borrow on the open markets against the money workers send home. The capital would be used to invest in the country to build infrastructure that would discourage people from leaving.

SAVING: $31bn

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: An international code of ethical guidelines overseen by bodies such as the World Health Organisation (for doctors and nurses) to monitor the harm that migration of professionals causes..

What Is It?

Intravenous chelation (pronounced key-LAY-shun) therapy has been a respected and widely used medical treatment for heavy-metal poisoning--especially lead poisoning--for more than 50 years. However, some physicians also promote the therapy as an alternative treatment for arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), including coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease (blockage or narrowing of blood vessels in the legs), and the mental deterioration caused by small strokes.

Congress caught making false entries in Wikipedia

We already know, of course, that politicians live primarily for re-election and typically view the truth as an impediment to the higher purpose of unfettered self-aggrandizement.

Still, we can be excused for feeling mildly nauseated when fresh confirmation of this distasteful aspect of modern politicking surfaces.

The latest episode appeared last week in the form of a report that aides to Rep. Marty Meehan, a Massachusetts Democrat, deleted references to his broken term-limits pledge and massive campaign war chest on Wikipedia.

Then the trusty editors at Wikipedia got together and compiled a list of over 1,000 edits made by Internet addresses allocated to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The IP address subsequently was blocked and unblocked.

An extensive analysis reveals how juvenile official Washington secretly is, behind the mind-numbingly serious talk of public policy.

Chronic Scurvy: Vitamin C Deficiency as a Cause of Heart Disease

Heart disease, which is chronic scurvy in disguise, can he remedied with high doses of vitamin C together with the amino acid lysine, a therapy pioneered by Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr Linus Pauling but is a threat to the medical/pharmaceutical establishment.

The leading killer in the United States—the condition that those in medicine call "heart disease" or "occlusive cardiovascular disease"—is really a low-grade form of scurvy. This fact is becoming increasingly more difficult for modern medicine to deny.

Heart disease is a misnomer. The disease is characterised by scab-like build-ups that slowly grow on the walls of blood vessels. The underlying disease process reduces the supply of blood to the heart and other organs, resulting in angina ("heart cramp"), heart attack and stroke. The correct terminology for this disease process is "chronic scurvy", a sub-clinical form of the classic vitamin C deficiency disease.

Coconut Oil and its Wonderful Health Benefits

Coconut oil has been used for centuries as a vital source of food for health and general well being in traditional communities of tropical regions. Recent research verifies traditional beliefs that the coconut palm is “The Tree of Life” and that, just like any other pure, whole food, coconuts and virgin coconut oil have a significant role to play in a well balanced, nutritious diet.

Excerpt:
Research shows that replacing other cooking oils with virgin coconut oil generally creates a more favorable HDL/LDL ratio. This oil has antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiprotozoal properties and, like all whole foods, contains nutrients for a healthy body.

What Really Happened by Cindy Sheehan

Dear Friends,

As most of you have probably heard, I was arrested before the State of the Union Address tonight.

I am speechless with fury at what happened and with grief over what we have lost in our country.

* CindySheehan's diary :: ::
*

There have been lies from the police and distortions by the press. (Shocker) So this is what really happened:

This afternoon at the People's State of the Union Address in DC where I was joined by Congresspersons Lynn Woolsey and John Conyers, Ann Wright, Malik Rahim and John Cavanagh, Lynn brought me a ticket to the State of the Union Address. At that time, I was wearing the shirt that said: 2245 Dead. How many more?

After the PSOTU press conference, I was having second thoughts about going to the SOTU at the Capitol. I didn't feel comfortable going. I knew George Bush would say things that would hurt me and anger me and I knew that I couldn't disrupt the address because Lynn had given me the ticket and I didn't want to be disruptive out of respect for her. I, in fact, had given the ticket to John Bruhns who is in Iraq Veterans Against the War. However, Lynn's office had already called the media and everyone knew I was going to be there so I sucked it up and went.

I got the ticket back from John, and I met one of Congresswoman Barbara Lee's staffers in the Longworth Congressional Office building and we went to the Capitol via the undergroud tunnel. I went through security once, then had to use the rest room and went through security again.

My ticket was in the 5th gallery, front row, fourth seat in. The person who in a few minutes was to arrest me, helped me to my seat.

I had just sat down and I was warm from climbing 3 flights of stairs back up from the bathroom so I unzipped my jacket. I turned to the right to take my left arm out, when the same officer saw my shirt and yelled; "Protester." He then ran over to me, hauled me out of my seat and roughly (with my hands behind my back) shoved me up the stairs. I said something like "I'm going, do you have to be so rough?" By the way, his name is Mike Weight.

The officer ran with me to the elevators yelling at everyone to move out of the way. When we got to the elevators, he cuffed me and took me outside to await a squad car. On the way out, someone behind me said, "That's Cindy Sheehan." At which point the officer who arrested me said: "Take these steps slowly." I said, "You didn't care about being careful when you were dragging me up the other steps." He said, "That's because you were protesting." Wow, I get hauled out of the People's House because I was, "Protesting."

I was never told that I couldn't wear that shirt into the Congress. I was never asked to take it off or zip my jacket back up. If I had been asked to do any of those things...I would have, and written about the suppression of my freedom of speech later. I was immediately, and roughly (I have the bruises and muscle spasms to prove it) hauled off and arrested for "unlawful conduct."

After I had my personal items inventoried and my fingers printed, a nice Sgt. came in and looked at my shirt and said, "2245, huh? I just got back from there."

I told him that my son died there. That's when the enormity of my loss hit me. I have lost my son. I have lost my First Amendment rights. I have lost the country that I love. Where did America go? I started crying in pain.

What did Casey die for? What did the 2244 other brave young Americans die for? What are tens of thousands of them over there in harm's way for still? For this? I can't even wear a shrit that has the number of troops on it that George Bush and his arrogant and ignorant policies are responsible for killing.

I wore the shirt to make a statement. The press knew I was going to be there and I thought every once in awhile they would show me and I would have the shirt on. I did not wear it to be disruptive, or I would have unzipped my jacket during George's speech. If I had any idea what happens to people who wear shirts that make the neocons uncomfortable that I would be arrested...maybe I would have, but I didn't.

There have already been many wild stories out there.

I have some lawyers looking into filing a First Amendment lawsuit against the government for what happened tonight. I will file it. It is time to take our freedoms and our country back.

I don't want to live in a country that prohibits any person, whether he/she has paid the ulitmate price for that country, from wearing, saying, writing, or telephoning any negative statements about the government. That's why I am going to take my freedoms and liberties back. That's why I am not going to let Bushco take anything else away from me...or you.

I am so appreciative of the couple of hundred of protesters who came to the jail while I was locked up to show their support....we have so much potential for good...there is so much good in so many people.

Four hours and 2 jails after I was arrested, I was let out. Again, I am so upset and sore it is hard to think straight.

Keep up the struggle...I promise you I will too.

Love and peace soon,
Cindy

The civil liberties body made the statement after a report in a Melbourne newspaper said a member of the Geelong Camera Club received a visit from police after he photographed gas storage cylinders at the city's Shell oil refinery.

FBI Agents Back Down When Librarian Refuses to Let Them Seize 30 Computers Without a Warrant

An e-mail threat that prompted the evacuation of more than a dozen Brandeis University buildings on January 18 led to an unusual standoff in a public library in Newton, Mass., a few miles from the Brandeis campus.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents tried to seize 30 of the library's computers without a warrant, saying someone had used the library's Internet connection to send the threat to Brandeis. But the library director, Kathy Glick-Weil, told the agents they could not take the machines unless they got a warrant first. Newton's mayor, David Cohen, backed Ms. Glick-Weil up.

Overthrowing the New Slavery

Today, most people suffer under globalistic slavery: either wage slavery or physical, chattel slavery. There are currently more than 27 million people physically enslaved as chattel. 1 Approximately 95% of the 6.4 billion persons now living suffer under wage slavery at one time in their lives: 6.175 billion.

Note carefully your feelings when you read the word slavery, as though it couldn't possibly be that people are literally slaves today--slavery seems like an outmoded form of life from previous centuries. Whatever we feel, slavery is very much a fact of life for most people in the world today. A person is a slave if he has lost control over his life and is dominated by someone or something--whether he is aware of this or not. Wage slavery is the condition in which a person must sell his or her labor-power, submitting to the authority of an employer, in order to merely subsist.

"Dr Who"- Revealing Dialogue

I've just been rewatching the recent "Dr Who" series and remembered something that I meant to mention before, but forgot. In the episode "The Long Game" the doctor and Rose land on a space station that controls all media broadcasts to Earth. They came across the ruler of the world, a sinister man called "The Editor", played by Simon Pegg. Listen to what he has to say:

EDITOR: "Create a climate of fear, and it's easy to keep borders closed. It's just a matter of emphasis. The right word in the right broadcast, repeated often enough can destabilize an economy, invent and enemy, change a vote."

ROSE: "So all the people on Earth are slaves?"

EDITOR: "Interesting point. Is a slave a slave, when he doesn't know he's enslaved?"

DOCTOR: "Yes."

EDITOR: "Just 'Yes'? I was hoping for a debate. Come on! You've got to admire this system, just a little bit!"

ROSE: "You can't hide something on this scale. The people would notice!”

EDITOR: “No, they just carry on living their lives, strutting all over the Earth, thinking they’re so individual when they’re just cattle.” (If I was writing this I’d have said: “Why? Who’s going to tell them? They get all their information from me!”)

In this episode, it also is revealed that the REAL ruler of the Earth is not the Editor. He is subordinate to an alien creature called the Jagrofess. The Jagorfess lives in secret so nobody ever sees him and the people all think the Editor is the one really calling the shots.

Caspian’s tone is well captured by the title of Albrecht’s 2005 book, co-written with Liz McIntyre. It’s called Spychips: how major corporations and government plan to track your every move with RFID. It’s the work of “two suburban moms who’ve taken on some of the largest corporations in the world because we care about the future our children will inherit”. Conservative Activists Launch Boycott of Citgo

A conservative advocacy group is urging Americans to boycott Citgo gas stations, since Citgo is owned by the Venezuelan government, and the Venezuelan president has vowed to topple the U.S. government. President Hugo Chavez recently told a TV audience, "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century." The guest on that particular program was anti-Bush, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan. The American Family Association is urging Americans to send an email to Chavez and Citgo, letting them know that "you will not be shopping at a Citgo station." The AFA said sales at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him undermine U.S. interests. "Why should U.S. citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed to take down our government?" AFA Founder and Chairman Donald Wildmon asked in a message to supporters. Citgo's website notes that it is owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of Venezuela.

The Most Powerful Man In The World?
The “Black” Pope
Count Hans Kolvenbach—The Jesuit’s General
4/15/00 RICK MARTIN

So, you thought you were pretty well informed by now about all of the main players on the “conspiracy” playing field? You’ve maybe been hearing for years about (or bumped into on your own) the various elements of society who control our world from behind the scenes.

Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, the General of the International Military Order of the Society of Jesus, commonly known as “the Black Pope”, ordered the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, with the advice and consent of his General Staff, composed of five assistants (each representing a hemisphere and under whom are many advisory Provincials), an advisor (resembling the likes of a military commander to warn him of any faults or mistakes), and his confessor (to ease his conscience and absolve him of his many sins).

Meet the Real Adolf Hitler!!

"There are some people who seriously doubt that Johann Georg Hiedler was the father of Alois. Thyssen and Koehler, for example, claim that Chancellor Dollfuss had ordered the Austrian police to conduct a thorough investigation into the Hitler family. As a result of this investigation a secret document was prepared that proved that Maria Anna Schicklgruber was living in Vienna at the time she conceived. At that time she was employed as a servant in the home of Baron Rothschild. As soon as the family discovered her pregnancy she was sent back to her home in Spital where Alois was born. If it is true that one of the Rothschilds is the real father of Alois Hitler, it would make Adolf a quarter Jew. According to these sources, Adolf Hitler knew of the existence of this document and the incriminating evidence it contained. In order to obtain it he precipitated events in Austria and initiated the assassination of Dollfuss. According to this story, he failed to obtain the document at that time since Dollfuss had secreted it and had told Schuschnigg of its whereabouts so that in the event of his death the independence of Austria would remain assured. Several stories of this general character are in circulation. (Langer, The Mind of Adolf Hitler, p.107)."

The super-rich families like the Rockefellers, Rothschilds and Roosevelts all intermarry and outsiders are not welcome. They believe that the U.S. should be an hereditary MONARCHY with their family members as kings and queens!!

Because of all their recessive genes, madness doesn't run in those families.....it gallops!!

Google's Chinese censorship efforts tank

China's Internet-filtering rules block unwelcome search results -- but only if they're spelled correctly.

SAN FRANCISCO (Business 2.0) - Google (Research) is getting lambasted online for its new policy of accommodating China's Internet-censorship rules. But with its new Chinese search engine, Google.cn, Google isn't living up to its reputation for technical wizardry. Paul Boutin points out on his blog that if you search for "Tiananmen," you get peaceful photos of the Beijing square -- but if you search for common misspellings like "Tienanmen," "Tianenmen," or "Tiananman," you get photos of tanks. (Full disclosure: Paul's a good friend of mine, but I hadn't seen anyone else make this observation.)

Lets cut the crap about Illuminati and see The Jesuit Order

Lets cut the crap about Illuminati all the time and see The Society of Jesus who pull their strings. Everyone is indoctrinated into this scary Illuminati which isn't as scary as The Jesuits who run them. Good job people like Eric Phelps, William Cooper, Ian Paisley, Barry Chamish etc have the balls to stand up as I do and expose the real puppet masters THE JESUIT ORDER from The Church of Gesu in ROME, ITALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do your homeworks guys and see how you've all been steered in the wrong path by people like Alex Jones, David Icke, Noam Chomskey etc, ask yourself why they are so global and get away with exposing the orders. Its not just about the amount of people following them now which stops them being assassinated. They could have been annilated well before now like poor Phil Schneider etc. It hasn't happened because they are helping to keep the veil down on the JESUIT ORDER who own the Illuminati and every organisation on this planet. They're all playing a game to keep the intelligent sheeple still locked away to a point, feed them some truths and have them hook line and sinker then divert them away from the real culprits. Alex Jones etc are all TEMPORAL CO-ADJUTORS for The Society of Jesus who has insiders in every side of conflict. The Jesuits are the most intelligent people on this planet especially in the high end part of the Jesuit Order. They forget to tell you about how the Jesuits are Alchemists, Sorcerors and Occultists just like your scary scary Illuminati. They love to promote Illuminati on Mainstream TV on films like Chainsaw Massacre but wheres the Jesuit advertising? NONE! They're feeding you what they want but you are foolish enough to desire.

I promise people if they re-open their minds and start looking at the facts a bit further now and in the direction of The Jesuits they will be shocked to find all the answers in front of them. No one isn't saying Illuminati isn't powerful because they are second in command to The Jesuits and no one else is higher than them. The Illuminati Consist of B'Nai B'Rith, Grand Orient, Council of 33rd degree Masons of Scottish Rite, Council of 13 degrees of the Bavarian Illuminati, Black Nobility & The Committee of 300.

Alex Jones had openly admitted being a Roman Catholic Christian. Alex amazingly gets into Bohemian Grove without getting killed or removed unlike no other person attempting it. Alex Jones will not talk to anyone who knows of the Jesuit Order being supreme ruler. David Icke has mentioned very minutely that the Jesuit Order are very power players but thats ultra rare and he too promotes this scary Illuminati mystical force of Order. David Icke isn't a stupid man hes very intelligent and his knowledge of the order is very large which in itself can be alittle suspicious but maybe not. Do you honestly think Mr.Icke wouldn't know the true power of the Jesuit Order? Of course he does but he either chooses to not expose them through his own fear like many others or he is on their side as a Temporal Co-Adjutor. Just be careful who you follow fully, take note of all they say as a lot of it is truth but do your own following on. Alex Jones and that Bohemian Grove is the biggest cat out of the bag showing hes a Temporal Co-Adjutor. How can he walk around B.G with video tapes capturing alot of video but never EVER capturing one of his many so-called security checks which he claimed happened? Think my friends because the Jesuits are riding you like cowboys at a rodeo.

Rewriting history under the dome

Online 'encyclopedia' allows anyone to edit entries, and congressional staffers do just that to bosses' bios
The staff of U.S. Rep Marty Meehan wiped out references to his broken term-limits pledge as well as information about his huge campaign war chest in an independent biography of the Lowell Democrat on a Web site that bills itself as the "world's largest encyclopedia," The Sun has learned.

The Meehan alterations on Wikipedia.com represent just two of more than 1,000 changes made by congressional staffers at the U.S. House of Representatives in the past six month. Wikipedia is a global reference that relies on its Internet users to add credible information to entries on millions of topics.

Matt Vogel, Meehan's chief of staff, said he authorized an intern in July to replace existing Wikipedia content with a staff-written biography of the lawmaker.

The change deleted a reference to Meehan's campaign promise to surrender his seat after serving eight years, a pledge Meehan later eschewed. It also deleted a reference to the size of Meehan's campaign account, the largest of any House member at $4.8 million, according to the latest data available from the Federal Election Commission.

What is Usenet/ Newsgroups and Why Should You Care?

Usenet often referred to as nntp (network news transfer protocol), or newsgroups is one of the oldest and still the best method of distributing information and files.

What makes it special?

The drawback is a monthly bill, and the need of some software. Grabit is a free popular client and Newsleecher is a good "pay" client which you can probably find on any p2p. Large downloads often come in binary form typically with the RAR extension. Winrar has a free trial period and is excellent for recombining these files to get what you want. (It's very much like winzip for zip files). You'll probably find excellent tutorials and help from newsgroup client websites if you have troubles.

As you may have noticed; I decided to use Newshosting as an affiliate, and put their link on the links list (left column). I can highly recommend them and hope that you choose them. Others to consider would be Giganews, or Usenetserver.com. Giganews has better retention (files stay on the server longer), but cost more. Usenet server has a great set of plans and can cost slightly less for slightly lesser service if you buy the 3 month plan. They have a 3 day for $3 plan for anyone wanting to test the waters. Please consider supporting this site by using the affiliate link if you sign up. -Thanks

Blood Money Part I: The Big 'Allivane-Astra' Picture. The Trail of Illegal Weapons Sold To Iran And Iraq Starts In Washington And London.

High-level officials on both sides of the Atlantic hide their 'dirty scheme' to profit from illegal Middle East weapons sales. MI6 and CIA infiltrate overseas 'front companies' to make sure illegal sales goes off without a hitch

Excerpt:
As Saddam Hussein sits rotting in a Baghdad jail awaiting a hangman's noose, the last thing Prime Minister Tony Blair and President George W. Bush wants is for Hussein to spill the beans, tell the truth and talk.

They want him out of the picture since he could add even more damaging information to the solid body of evidence that over the period of 1982-90 Iraq and Iran were supplied by the U.S. and UK with WMD, including biological cultures and chemical precursors of nerve gases and radioactive material, including caesium-137.

Teflon chemical on EPA hit list

Ingredient set to join lead, other pollutants
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency plans to list a toxic chemical used to make Teflon alongside such well-known persistent pollutants as mercury, lead and PCBs, signaling increasing alarm about its potential effects on human health.

EPA officials also are increasing pressure on companies to stop using the chemical, called perfluorooctanoic acid, by asking DuPont and several other corporations to voluntarily eliminate PFOA and similar substances from plant emissions and products by 2015.

Regulators still are reviewing potential health risks of such chemicals, which have been used for more than half a century with virtually no government oversight.

A top EPA official said Wednesday there is no reason for people to doubt the safety of products made with the chemicals, which are key ingredients in the manufacture of non-stick cookware, coated food wrappers, rain-repellent clothing and stain-resistant carpets and clothing.

DuPont Hid Teflon-Risk Studies

DuPont Co. hid studies showing the risks of a Teflon-related chemical used to line candy wrappers, pizza boxes, microwave popcorn bags and hundreds of other food containers, according to internal company documents and a former employee.

The chemical Zonyl can rub off the liner and get into food. Once in a person's body, it can break down into perfluorooctanoic acid and its salts, known as PFOA, a related chemical used in the making of Teflon-coated cookware.

The Environmental Protection Agency has been trying to decide whether to classify PFOA as a "likely" human carcinogen. The Food and Drug Administration, in a letter released Wednesday evening by DuPont, said it was continuing to monitor the safety of PFOA chemicals in food.

The Sushi Bar

Lately we've been inundated with various "diets". The most commonly hyped ones are nothing but proven to make us fat. The ones that work all have stuff in common.

What do diets like the paleolithic diet and the raw food diet have in common? They don't have MSG , and they don't have artificial sweeteners.

So Sushi is raw, and safe right? -Check the labels. Imitation crab found in "rainbow rolls" and others contain aspartame aka aspartic acid as well as some brands of gari or "pickled ginger". Salmon is often artificially colored, and certain brands of "wasabi" contain aluminum which is strongly regarded as the cause of alzheimers. Fortuneatly sticky rice requires something sweet and "sticky" which aspartame doesn't fit.

My suggestion is to make your own gari; (pickled ginger) -if you can't eat sushi without it. It's extremely easy to make and can be made with simple cider vinegar, organic sugar or substitute, and ginger. You should be able to find a wasabi w/o aluminum. I don't believe sushi bars are going to stop you from bringing your own condiments as long as you're not scaremongering their other customers. Then again, it's much cheaper to make maki (sushi rolls) than it is to buy them.

MSG can be labled "hydrolyzed vegetable protein", "Monosodium Glutamate", or "natural flavors". You needn't get headaches from it for it to be bad for you: Lab rats are given it to promote insulin production leading to obesity (rats aren't naturally fat).

There is no evidence that Tamiflu works against bird flu

Beijing (AsiaNews/Agencies) – There is no credible evidence that Tamiflu works against the H5N1virus, but donors’ conference raises US$ 1.9 billion to fight the outbreak.

In an article published in The Lancet medical journal today, researchers from the Cochrane Vaccines Field in Rome and the University of Queensland in Australia warn against over-reliance on Tamiflu. Focus should be on implementing quarantine measures and improving personal hygiene.

The researchers found that older antiviral drugs such as amantadine and rimantadine should not be used because they are ineffective and can cause adverse side effects such as hallucinations.

Yet, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is recommending governments stockpile Tamiflu even though the usefulness of the expensive measure is increasingly coming under criticism.

Police 'faked Tube death log'

Extraordinary allegations that Special Branch officers deliberately falsified vital evidence to hide mistakes which led to the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes at a south London Underground station were made last night.

According to claims in the News of the World, police altered the contents of a logbook, which detailed the Brazilian electrician's final movements, in a bid to cover up their blunders.

The 27-year-old was shot dead at Stockwell Tube station, in the wake of the London bombings, by police exercising a shoot-to-kill policy.

Specific words were understood to have been changed to cover up the fact that surveillance officers had wrongly identified Mr de Menezes as terror suspect Hussein Osman.

Alterations were hastily made to amend the wording of the official log once the shocking truth emerged that the dead man was not, in fact, the extremist wanted in connection with the failed 21 July Tube bombings.

Early Death Comes From Drinking Distilled Water

Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapour condensed. Distilled water is free of dissolved minerals and, because of this, has the special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. Studies validate the benefits of drinking distilled water when one is seeking to cleanse or detoxify the system for short periods of time (a few weeks at a time).

Fasting using distilled water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high blood pressure. Cooking foods in distilled water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value.

Distilled water is an active absorber and when it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide, making it acidic. The more distilled water a person drinks, the higher the body acidity becomes.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, "Distilled water, being essentially mineral-free, is very aggressive, in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact. Notably, carbon dioxide from the air is rapidly absorbed, making the water acidic and even more aggressive. Many metals are dissolved by distilled water."

The most toxic commercial beverages that people consume (i.e. cola beverages and other soft drinks) are made from distilled water. Studies have consistently shown that heavy consumers of soft drinks (with or without sugar) spill huge amounts of calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals into the urine.

The more mineral loss, the greater the risk for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and a long list of degenerative diseases generally associated with premature aging.

A growing number of health care practitioners and scientists from around the world have been advocating the theory that aging and disease is the direct result of the accumulation of acid waste products in the body.

Rumsfeld's growing stake in Tamiflu

The prospect of a bird flu outbreak may be panicking people around the globe, but it's proving to be very good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that's now the most-sought after drug in the world.

Rumsfeld served as Gilead (Research)'s chairman from 1997 until he joined the Bush administration in 2001, and he still holds a Gilead stake valued at between $5 million and $25 million, according to federal financial disclosures filed by Rumsfeld.

The forms don't reveal the exact number of shares Rumsfeld owns, but in the past six months fears of a pandemic and the ensuing scramble for Tamiflu have sent Gilead's stock from $35 to $47. That's made the Pentagon chief, already one of the wealthiest members of the Bush cabinet, at least $1 million richer.

EPA to Allow Pesticide Testing on Orphans & Mentally Handicapped Children

(Tell Congress to advise the EPA against publishing this rule here!)
http://www.demaction.org/dia/organizations/oca/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=1532

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is just days away from publishing a new federal regulation that will allow the testing of chemicals and pesticides on human subjects. On August 2, 2005, Congress had mandated the EPA create a rule that permanently bans chemical testing on pregnant women and children, without exception. But the EPA's newly proposed rule, is ridden with exceptions where chemical studies may be performed on children in certain situations like the following:

Children who "cannot be reasonably consulted," such as those that are mentally handicapped or orphaned newborns, may be tested on. With permission from the institution or guardian in charge of the individual, the child may be exposed to chemicals for the sake of research.

Parental consent forms are not necessary for testing on children who have been neglected or abused.

Chemical studies on any children outside of the U.S. are acceptable.

MSG or Monosodium Glutamate and Obesity

Excerpts:
In hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies. No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so the scientists have to create them. They make these morbidly obese creatures by injecting them with MSG when they are first born. The Monosodium glutamate triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing rats (and humans?) to become obese They even have a title for the race of fat rodents they create: "MSG-Treated Rats"

I was shocked too. I went to my kitchen, checking the cupboards and the fridge. MSG was in everything! The Campbell's soups, the Hostess Doritos, the Lays flavored potato chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper, Heinz canned gravy, Swanson frozen prepared meals, Kraft salad dressings, especially the 'healthy low fat' ones.

The items that didn't have monosodium glutamate had something called Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, which is just another name for Monosodium Glutamate. It was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children everyday are filled with this stuff. They hide MSG under many different names in order to fool those who catch on.
But it didn't stop there. When our family went out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants what menu items had MSG. Many employees, even the managers, swore they didn't use MSG. But when we ask for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough monosodium glutamate and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were everywhere. Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, every restaurant, even the sit down ones like TGIF, Chilis', Applebees and Denny's use MSG in abundance. Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender: MSG was in every chicken dish, salad dressing and gravy. No wonder I loved to eat that coating on the skin, their secret spice was MSG!

Both the medical research community and food "manufacturers" have known MSG's side effects for decades! Many more studies mentioned in John Erb's book link MSG or Monosodium Glutamate to Diabetes, Migraines and headaches, Autism, ADHD and even Alzheimer's. But what can we do to stop the food manufactures from dumping fattening and addictive MSG into our food supply and causing the obesity epidemic we now see?
